BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's soccer team is the eighth seed for the 2019 NESCAC Championship and will head to play at top-seeded Tufts in the first round on Saturday, November 2.
The Polar Bears and Jumbos will play for the second time in five days with kick-off scheduled for noon on Saturday.
Bowdoin (7-7-1, 3-6-1 NESCAC) has appeared in every NESCAC Tournament field and last advanced to the semifinals in 2015, the same year it played in the NESCAC Championship game for the third time. Bowdoin is 2-2-2 all-time against Tufts in the NESCAC Tournament which includes a 3-0 Jumbo victory in the last meeting in the 2015 quarterfinals. Tufts pulled out a 1-0 overtime win against the Polar Bears on Tuesday, October 29, in the regular season finale.
Tufts (11-2-2, 7-2-1 NESCAC) is the No. 1 seed for the fourth time in program history and the first time since 2010. The Jumbos are making their seventh straight appearance and have missed the NESCAC Tournament only once since 2000.
