BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team will face Amherst in the quarterfinals of the 2019 NESCAC Tournament on Saturday afternoon in Massachusetts.
The fifth-seeded Polar Bears (9-6) with battle the fourth-seeded Mammoths (11-4) at noon on Saturday for a trip to the NESCAC semifinals. Bowdoin, last year's NESCAC Runner-Up, is the No. 5 seed for the first time since 2012. The Polar Bears are in the NESCAC Tournament for the third straight season and ninth time in 10 years. The Mammoths will host a quarterfinal game for the second straight year and are the fourth seed for the first time since 2012.
A win for either team would propel it into the semifinals for the second year in a row, while both teams are looking for their first NESCAC title.
