Eliza Denious Named NESCAC Player of the Week

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Bowdoin sophomore Eliza Denious (Wilton, Conn.) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week.

Denious scored seven goals, including four in the final 11:03, to lead the Polar Bears from a three-goal deficit to a 17-15 victory over Trinity on Saturday. She also had six draw controls and two caused turnovers in the victory.

Over her last three games, Denious has totaled 16 goals, three assists and 10 draw controls for the Polar Bears. She currently leads Bowdoin in points (35) and ground balls (15) and is second in goals (23), assists (12) and caused turnovers (12).

The Polar Bears will return to action on Wednesday night when they travel to Lewiston to face Bates at 7:00 p.m.
