EWING, N.J. - The Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team couldn't overcome an early deficit and saw their season come to a close in a 13-7 loss to The College of New Jersey on Saturday afternoon.

The Polar Bears end a fantastic campaign with a record of 14-6. TCNJ advances to Sunday's regional final with a record of 19-2.

  • The Lions jumped to a 7-1 lead in the first twenty of minutes of play and it proved to be a deficit too large for the Polar Bears to overcome.
  • After TCNJ notched the first three goals of the game, Katie Miller stopped the bleeding for Bowdoin with a goal at 22:40.
  • A pair of goals by Allie Gorman sparked a four-goal reply by the Lions, and TCNJ extended their advantage to as many as seven goals in the opening period.
