MEDFORD, Mass. - A furious rally came up just short on Wednesday night as the Bowdoin women's lacrosse team lost its regular season finale at Tufts, 13-12.

With the loss, the Polar Bears (10-5, 5-5 NESCAC) fall to the seventh seed for the upcoming NESCAC Tournament and will travel to play at Hamilton at noon on Saturday in the quarterfinals of the championship.

  • After Mettler Growney scored the game's first goal for Bwodoin, Tufts rolled off a 7-0 run, getting two goals in the run from Megan Toner to take a 7-1 lead late in the period.
