    BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College women's lacrosse player Betsy Rose (Needham, Mass.) has been named as the Division III Defender of the Year by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. Rose, a First-Team All-American, led the Polar Bears to a 15-5 record in 2006.

    BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College senior defender Betsy Rose (Needham, Mass.) has been named a First-Team All-American selection by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. The senior captain is joined on the squad by junior Kate Donoghue (Plandome, N.Y.) and sophomore Bobbi Dennison (Freeport, Maine) - both of who earned Third-Team All-American selections. The Polar Bears reached the regional finals of the NCAA Tournament this spring, posting a 15-5 record.

    BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team netted five All-NESCAC honorees in selections announced on Wednesday afternoon. Senior co-captain Betsy Rose (Needham, Mass.) earned First-Team honors along with sophomores Grace Moore (Groton, Mass.) and Bobbi Dennison (Freeport, Maine). Second-Team honors went to juniors Kate Donoghue (Plandome, N.Y.) and Taylor White (Wellesley, Mass.).

    BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's lacrosse team has earned a return trip to the NCAA Tournament, and received a first-round bye in pairings announced on Sunday night. The Polar Bears will play in a regional next Saturday, May 13 at Middlebury College against the winner of Wednesday's Colby and Plymouth State contest.

    BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College women's lacrosse player Bobbi Dennison (Freeport, Maine) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week for her efforts in a Polar Bear victory over Trinity on Saturday. Bowdoin, ranked ninth in the latest IWLCA National Poll, stands at 9-2 this season and will play at seventh-ranked Colby on Wednesday evening.
