Women's Golf Wins Season-Opening Bowdoin Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women's golf team placed first at its season-opening Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday at Brunswick Golf Club.

The Polar Bears finished first of four teams in the field, posting a team score of  +44 (332) to out-pace Bates (368), Husson (373) and Trinity (421).

Tournament Highlights

  • Bowdoin had the top three finishers in the tournament to run away from the field.
  • First-years Abbie Kaestle and Crystal Chong led the way for the Polar Bears. Kaestle posted a +6 (78) while Chong ended at +9 (81) for the day.
  • Caroline Farber carded a +11 (83) to take third overall and Emme McCabe finished sixth at +18 (90) to round out the Bowdoin scorers.
