BANGOR, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's golf team won its third consecutive Maine Intercollegiate Golf Association championship in a row, running away from the field to take the crown at Bangor Municipal Golf Course this weekend.
The Polar Bears ended with a two-day score of 693 to win the tournament by 35 strokes over Husson (728) and third-place Bates (762).
- Caroline Farber again won medalist honors, shooting a 72 on Sunday to finish at 150 (78-72, +8) for the tournament.
- Emme McCabe was also outstanding, firing a 77 on Sunday to finish in second place at 157 (80-77)
- Haley Baldwin (189, 9th), Brynne Wicklund (197, 11th) and Lindsey Bindra (205, 13th) rounded out the Polar Bear competitors.
- After dominating Maine competition the first two weeks, Bowdoin will head out of state next weekend to compete in one of the region's top events – the Mount Holyoke Invitational at the Orchards Golf Club on September 22-23.
