BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's basketball team held Colby to a season-low in points in a decisive 71-30 victory on Saturday afternoon at Morrell Gymnasium.

The 21st-ranked Polar Bears improve to 14-3 (4-2 NESCAC) while the Mules fall to 9-9 (2-4 NESCAC).

  • The teams traded buckets in the early going and the Mules actually held a 7-6 lead after five minutes of play.
  • Bowdoin's defense clamped down from there and Bowdoin rolled off a 15-2 run, sparked by a pair of Lauren Petit three-pointers to take a 21-9 advantage midway through the second quarter.
