BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin men's tennis team advanced to the NCAA Regional Finals with a 5-0 win over Yeshiva University on Friday afternoon.
The Polar Bears (20-1) will appear in their fifth consecutive regional final after defeating the Maccabees (14-6). Bowdoin will face the winner of RPI/Stevens.
- Bowdoin swept doubles play, paced by #2 Kyle Wolfe/Yangeng (Jerry) Jiang (8-0). Gil Roddy/Larry Zhao went 8-1 at #3, while #1 Luke Tercek/Grant Urken (8-3) earned the final point.
- Roddy earned the fourth point of the day at #5 (6-0, 6-0). Tercek clinched the match at #2 (6-1, 6-1).
- Every other Bowdoin player was up a set on the remaining courts.
- The Polar Bears will play at noon on Saturday against the winner of RPI/Stevens with their eyes on advancing to their third consecutive national quarterfinal.
