Bragg and Wolstencroft Named ITA Regional Award Winners

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College men's tennis seniors Kyle Wolstencroft (Greenwich, Conn.) and Noah Bragg (Brookline, Mass.) have been honored in Regional Awards handed out by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Wolstencroft was named the Northeast Region recipient of the ITA/Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sportsmanship & Leadership Award. Bragg was tabbed as the Northeast Region ITA Senior Player of the Year.

A senior co-captain on this year's team, Wolstencroft helped lead the Polar Bears to a 15-6 record an berth in the NCAA Regional Finals. The Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award recognizes outstanding individuals in all divisions at the regional and national level. This award which dates back to 1982, goes to NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and JUCO men's and women's players who have exhibited outstanding sportsmanship and leadership as well as scholastic, extracurricular and tennis achievements.

Bragg concluded a fantastic career with another stellar season for the Polar Bears, recording a 12-11 record overall. He racked up eight of his wins this spring in dual matches, playing exclusively at the #2 position, and helped spark a mid-season run with five straight wins in late March and early April.
