Men's Tennis Shuts out Brandeis in 9-0 Saturday Contest

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin men's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 win over visiting Brandeis on Saturday morning in Farley Field House.

The Polar Bears improve to 8-1 on the season in their final non-conference matchup before five consecutive NESCAC matches.

Bowdoin swept doubles play with wins from Luke Trinka and Luke Tercek at #1 (8-6), Kyle Wolstencroft and Gill Roddy at #2 (8-4), and Chase Savage and Kyle Wolfe at #3 (8-2).

The Polar Bears did not drop a set in singles play, including Luke Tercek's showing at #6 as he dispatched his opponent 6-1, 6-0. The players at 1-5 all followed suit with Trinka securing a win at #1 (6-3, 6-2), Noah Bragg at #2 (6-1, 6-2), Wolfe at #3 (6-2, 6-1), and Savage at #4 (6-2, 6-2). Wolstencroft played the closest match of the day at #5 as he won the first set 7-6 before closing out his day with a 6-3 second set.

Bowdoin plays at Bates on April 9th to begin a stretch of three matches over the course of four days.
