WHITTIER, Calif. - The Bowdoin College men's tennis team posted its first shutout of the spring on Saturday, easing to a 9-0 win at Whittier.

The 18th-ranked Polar Bears rebound from their first loss of the campaign to move to 3-1 overall. Bowdoin will have two days off before returning to action at Redlands on Tuesday evening.

Bowdoin jumped to a 3-0 lead in doubles play as the #3 duo of Noah Bragg/Gil Roddy recorded a dominant 8-0 win. Luke Trinka/Luke Tercek (8-3) and Kyle Wolstencroft/Kyle Wolfe (8-2) gave the Polar Bears a commanding lead heading into doubles.

Bowdoin did not lose a set in singles action, getting straight-set victories across the board. Trinka (6-1, 6-1), Bragg (6-4, 6-4), Wolfe (6-4, 6-2), Chase Savage (6-2, 6-1), Tercek (6-2, 6-2) and Roddy (6-2, 6-0) sealed the win for Bowdoin.
