WALTHAM, Mass. - The Bowdoin College men's tennis team came away with a win in its first northern match of the season, 6-2, Saturday over Brandeis.

The 12th-ranked Polar Bears improve to 5-4 on the season while the 24th-ranked Judges fall to 5-4. The competition was called following eight matches due to rain.

Bowdoin claimed the #2 and #3 doubles matches thanks to an 8-3 win from Chase Savage/Luke Trinka and 8-2 victory from Noah Bragg/Chris Lord.

The Polar Bears sealed the win with a quartet of dominant straight-set singles wins to clinch the match. Kyle Wolstencroft was leading by a set when the match was suspended due to weather.

Bowdoin will return to the court on April 5 at MIT.
