Williams Withstands Bowdoin in Nationally-Ranked Battle

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The 12th-ranked Williams College men's tennis team started strong and held off 13th-ranked Bowdoin, 7-2, on Saturday afternoon. The Ephs took two of three doubles matches and earned straight-set wins in four singles matches to clinch the win.

Bowdoin's Jamie Neely earned the lone singles point for Bowdoin at #4 and teamed with Stephen Sullivan to collect a point at #1 doubles. Sullivan played in easily the most competitive match of the afternoon, falling to Williams' Nick Lebedoff at court one in a thriller, 2-6, 6-3, 7-6 (4).
