AMHERST, Mass. - The 11th-ranked Bowdoin College men's tennis team, playing their third match in as many days, dropped an 8-1 decision to fifth-ranked Amherst on Sunday. The Polar Bears fall to 10-5 overall and 5-3 in conference play.

The Polar Bears lost a pair of tight doubles matches and trailed 3-0 heading into singles play. Jamie Neely was the lone Bowdoin player to pick up a point, rallying for a 4-6, 6-1, 10-3 win at number five.
