WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Bowdoin College doubles duo of Alex White and Stephen Sullivan reached the finals of the doubles tournament at the ITA Regional Championship this weekend at Williams College.
The Polar Bears' top doubles pairing proved unstoppable en route to the final of the bracket, cruising past four teams to reach the championship tilt. The most impressive performance of the run came in the semifinals against Trinity's second-seeded duo of Samarth and Yahng, as Sullivan and White cruised to an 8-0 decision. The pair finally fell in the finals to Bates' top-seeded pairing of Stein and Rupasinghe, 8-5.
Bowdoin didn't fare quite as well individually, as no player advanced past the round of 16. Top performers included Sullivan and White again, who both won a pair of matches.
