Tennis Teams Earn NCAA Bids

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Both the Bowdoin College men's and women's tennis teams earns bids to the NCAA Tournament in pairings announced on Tuesday. The Polar Bear men are the second seed in the Northeast region and earned the right to host an NCAA Regional this weekend.

The men's squad, ranked 15th in the latest national poll, will host a four-team regional that also includes Rochester, Williams and Trinity (Conn.). Rochester and Williams will play Saturday at 10:00 a.m., with Trinity and Bowdoin playing at 2:00. The winners will play Sunday at 1:00 for the right to go to the NCAA Finals at the University of California-Santa Cruz on May 18-23. The Finals consist of eight teams and seeding will be detemined following the results of the eight regional brackets.
