2017 Recap (10-4-4): The Polar Bears posted another successful season under head coach Scott Wiercinski, reaching the NCAA Tournament for the third time in the last four seasons. Bowdoin hit their stride late in the season, going 6-2-4 over their final 12 contests with their only loss over the final three weeks coming in double-overtime in the NESCAC semifinals to Middlebury. Bowdoin earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament where the tied Rutgers-Newark 0-0 in the opening round but dropped a penalty-kick decision to finish their campaign. Seniors Riley Bubb and Stevie Van Siclen were named All-New England performers while Bubb netted an All-American nod.
2018 Preview: Bowdoin returns numerous weapons to its 2018 roster, including All-NESCAC performers midfielder Moctar Niang and defender Matty McColl. Leading goal scorers Levi Morant and CJ Masterson also return to the squad, as do midfielders Jason Oliver and Jake Stenquist, both of whom were fixtures in the midfield last season for the Polar Bears.
2018 Schedule: The Polar Bears open their 2018 campaign with a four-game homestand beginning on Tuesday, September 4 against the University of New England. Bowdoin will open their NESCAC slate against Amherst on Saturday, September 8 and will host in-state foe St. Joseph's on Sunday, September 9. Bowdoin closes its regular season with a three-game home stretch that includes Bates (Oct. 17), Conn. College (Oct. 20) and Tufts (24) in a seven-day span.
