Men's Lacrosse Falls to Plattsburgh in Mid-Week Non-Conference Game

KEENE, N.H. - The Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team suffered a 15-6 non-conference loss to Plattsburgh State on Wednesday evening in a game played at Keene State University.

The Polar Bears fall to 1-6 this season while the Cardinals improve to 6-3.

Brandon Rothman accounted for three of the team's six goals while Brandon Lee had a goal and two assists. Brendan Damm had five goals and two assists to lead Plattsburgh.

The Cardinals scored the first five goals of the game, led 7-1 at halftime and extended their lead to 12-1 at the end of the third quarter. Bowdoin scored five times in the fourth quarter to trim the final margin.

Peter Mumford made 18 saves in net for Bowdoin while Matt Massaria stopped 13 for Plattsburgh. Defensively, Bowdoin was led by two caused turnovers and three ground balls from Adam FitzGerald.

The Polar Bears will look to return to the win column on Saturday as they travel to play at Trinity at 1:00 p.m.
