    BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College junior Owen Smith (Brunswick, Maine) has been named an Honorable Mention All-American by the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association. It is the second consecutive year that Smith has garnered Honorable Mention All-American recognition. The Brunswick High grad posted a career-high 22 goals for Bowdoin this spring.

Henry Andrews was named Second Team All-NEILA and Second Team All-NESCAC while Russell Halliday and Adam Tracy also netted Second Team All-NESCAC nods.

    MEDFORD, Mass. - In a back-and-forth bout that saw seven ties in the second half, Tufts University sophomore Kevin McCormick scored 33 seconds into overtime to give the seventh-ranked Jumbo men's lacrosse team a scintillating 14-13 victory against Bowdoin College in the last game of the 2010 regular-season on Friday night under the lights at Bello Field. Adam Tracy scored five goals in the loss for Bowdoin.

The Polar Bears used a 7-1 first-half run to take control of the contest and improve to 5-5 (3-3 NESCAC) while the Panthers fall to 5-3 (3-3 NESCAC). The win is Bowdoin's first against Middlebury since the 2004 season.

    DALLAS, Texas - Tim Santye scored the game-winner with 2:19 left in the second overtime period as the Western New England College men's lacrosse team upset 12th-ranked Bowdoin 11-10 Monday evening at Parish Episcopal School. The Polar Bears dip to 1-1 this season while the Golden Bears improve to 3-2 on the season. The loss spoiled a career-high four-goal effort from Polar Bear senior Steve Thomas.
