2016-17 Recap (8-16-1): The Polar Bears posted a 6-4-0 record during the first half of their season, going 3-3 in NESCAC play in the first semester. Bowdoin struggled down the stretch but earned a spot in post-season play as the eight-seed in the conference tournament. The Polar Bears fell to top-seeded Hamilton in the NESCAC Quarterfinals to end the year.
2017-18 Preview: Bowdoin returns six of its top seven goal scorers from last year, pacing an offense that ranked third in the NESCAC. Cody Todesco led the way for the second consecutive year with 15 goals and 10 assists. In his rookie season, Thomas Dunleavy ranked second for the Polar Bears with 11 goals while Matthew Lison dished out a team-best 17 assists.
The schedule sees Bowdoin on the road for the first two games, opening with a league weekend at Williams and Middlebury. Bowdoin opens its home campaign with a non-conference Tuesday night game against the University of New England (Nov. 21). The Polar Bears return from Thanksgiving Break to host Day Two of the Colby/Bowdoin Classic on Sunday, November 26, facing off against 15th-ranked UMass-Boston. Bowdoin hosts Colby (Dec. 2), Tufts (Dec. 8), and Connecticut College (Dec. 9) to close out the semester. The Polar Bears open 2018 at home against Amherst (Jan. 5) and 8th-ranked Hamilton (Jan. 6) before hitting the road for three straight games. Bowdoin only plays a pair of home games in February with a league weekend against Wesleyan (Feb. 10) and 7th-ranked Trinity (Feb. 11).
