    BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College senior ice hockey players Katie Coyne (Madison, Wis.) and Sebastien Belanger (Deauville, Que.) have been named All-American Athletes by the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). Nominated by Bowdoin Strength & Conditioning coach Jim St. Pierre, the program recognized 239 student-athletes from 165 school across the country for their dedication to strength training and conditioning.

    BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College senior defenseman Mike Westerman (Ann Arbor, Michigan) has been named to the New England Hockey Writers All-Star Team in honors announced on Tuesday. It is the third post-season honor for the Polar Bears' leading scorer, who collected Second-Team All-American and Second-Team All-New England Small College Athletic Conference recognition last month.

    BRUNSWICK, Maine - Senior defenseman Mike Westerman (Ann Arbor, Mich.) has been named a Second-Team All-American in selections announced by the American Hockey Coaches Association this weekend. Westerman led the Polar Bears in scoring and was named a Second-Team All-NESCAC selection earlier this month.

Westerman netted a Second-Team All-Conference nod while Leary earned NESCAC Rookie of the Year honors.

Leary is the leading goal scoring in Division III hockey entering play this week, averaging 1.57 goals per contest for the Polar Bears, who are ranked 15th in the latest USCHO.com National Poll

Leary, who is the first Polar Bear to claim the honor this season, set the school's single-game scoring record in Saturday's win over Skidmore.
