Fresh off his First-Team All-American selection last weekend, Landry earned an amateur tryout with the Portland Pirates, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.

Bowdoin's George Papachristopoulos (Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Que.) and Jon Landry (Montreal, Que.) grabbed First-Team honors, while Adam Dann (Burlington, Vt.) was tabbed as a Second-Team choice.

    BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College senior goaltender George Papachristopoulos (Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Que.) has been named the NESCAC's Men's Ice Hockey Player of the Week for his efforts in a pair of Polar Bear wins last weekend. Bowdoin, ranked 14th in the latest national poll, is the third seed for the NESCAC Tournament which begins this Saturday. The Polar Bears (15-6-3) will host Amherst at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at Dayton Arena for a berth in the NESCAC Semifinals.

    BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College Athletic Department has announced the hiring of New Hampton School Head Coach Bill Riley (Portland, Maine) as their new assistant men's ice hockey coach. The hiring replaces four-year assistant Jamie Dumont, who accepted a position at the University of Maine-Orono in May.
