Husson Leads Bowdoin Invitational After First Round of Play

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Behind Chris Hamel's one-under 71, the Husson University men's golf team leads the 2011 Bowdoin Invitational by nine strokes after round one play on Saturday at Brunswick Golf Club.

St. Anselm College (314), Endicott (317), Williams (321) and the host Polar Bears (321) round out the top five of the ten-team field.

St. Anselm's Tyler Fay was one stroke behind Hamel at even par with Bowdoin's Johnny Bohorquez, Jared Quenzel of Bates and Seb Vik of Tufts all shooting a 76 to remain within shouting distance of the lead.

Play resumes at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Brunswick Golf Club.
