BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin senior Lucas Hausman (Westport, Conn.) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week. The reigning NESCAC Player of the Year was outstanding in a key conference win over Colby on Saturday to capture his the league's weekly award.

Hausman scored 35 points to lead the Polar Bears to a 85-82 overtime victory against Colby. With Bowdoin trailing 77-76 with less than two minutes remaining in the extra frame, Hausman scored the next seven points to put the Polar Bears ahead by six points with 33 seconds to play. He connected on 13 of his 23 shots from the field to shoot 56.5 percent, and hit all seven of his free throws in the win.

It was the seventh game with 30 or more points this season for Hausman, who leads the conference in scoring by over six points per game this year.

Bowdoin will return to action on Tuesday evening as they travel to play at Husson for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
