BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin sophomore Lucas Hausman (Westport, Conn.) has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Hausman was outstanding in a pair of wins last week for the Polar Bears. Down by 15 at halftime to Plymouth State on Tuesday, the junior scored 20 of his career-high 32 points in the second half to rally Bowdoin to a road victory. On Sunday against Middlebury, he poured in a team-high 21 points to go with six rebounds in an important NESCAC win. For the week, he connected on 51.4 percent of his shots from the field, averaging 26.5 points and 5.5 rebounds.

Currently sitting in fourth place in the league at 19.1 points per game, Hausman has been piping hot of late, averaging 25.2 points per game over his last five outings.

Bowdoin will look to secure a top-four seed and NESCAC Quarterfinal home game this weekend as they host a pair of huge conference games against Bates on Friday (7:00 p.m.) and Tufts on Saturday (3:00 p.m.).
