BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin senior captain Bryan Hurley (Watertown, Mass.) has been named NESCAC Men's Basketball Co-Player of Week.

Hurley averaged 20.0 points, 5.5 assists and 2.0 steals last week as the Polar Bears won a pair of games, including a NESCAC road win over rival Colby. Hurley was outstanding against the Mules, scoring 23 points, including 13 in the second half to help Bowdoin erase a nine-point halftime deficit. He also made five free throws in the final 28 seconds, as the Polar Bears held on for the win. For the week, the senior guard shot 52.0 percent from the field (13-25) and connected on 50.0 percent from three-point range (7-14).

Despite missing most of his junior season due to injury, Hurley stands fourth all-time at Bowdoin with 413 career assists. This season Hurley is averaging 10.9 points, 5.4 assists and 1.8 steals per contest.

The Polar Bears will return to action on Friday when they play at Trinity (7:00 p.m.). Bowdoin's game against Husson scheduled for Tuesday night was postponed due to the winter storm. The teams will play their rescheduled game on Monday, February 16.
