BRUNSWICK, Maine - Keegan Pieri scored 22 points to lead the Bowdoin College men's basketball team to a 67-48 road win at the University of New England on Tuesday evening.

The Polar Bears remain unbeaten with the victory, improving to 4-0 on the season. UNE drops to 1-3 with the loss.

In addition to his game-high 22 points Pieri added seven rebounds for the Polar Bears. John Swords added 15 points and 11 rebounds while Bryan Hurley pitched in 14 points and six assists. UNE was led by 13 points from Evrim Ozkan.

Bowdoin never trailed in the game, jumping to a 17-6 lead and never looking back. The Polar Bears led 37-26 at the break and controlled the game throughout the second half. The Nor'easters got as close as seven points, 47-40, with 13:35 to go, but Bowdoin quickly pushed the lead back to double digits and closed the game on a 16-6 run.

The Polar Bears dominated the glass, holding a 44-30 edge in rebounding. Bowdoin shot 43% from the field and held UNE to just 31%. Bowdoin was 13-14 from the free throw line while the Nor'easters could get to the line just once in the entire contest.

Bowdoin will continue its season-opening six-game road trip on Monday as it plays at Babson at 7:30 p.m
