BRUNSWICK, Maine – Two members of the Bowdoin College field hockey team have been named Third Team All-Americans in selections announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Tuesday.

Kimmy Ganong (Brunswick, Maine) and Juliana Fiore (Westwood, Mass.) were both chosen as Third Team selections. It is the second All-American selection for Ganong and the first for Fiore.

Ganong was named First Team All-NESCAC and First Team All-Region following her senior season. The senior captain tallied a 35-point season that ranked fifth in the conference. Ganong led the Polar Bears with 15 goals in 2016 and ends her career as the Polar Bears third all-time leading scorer with 50 goals. Her 121 career points ranks fifth all-time.

Fiore earned her first All-Region and All-NESCAC selections in 2016, capping her junior campaign with an All-American nod. After starting 14 games in the midfield for the Polar Bears, Fiore tied Ganong for second in assists with five.

Ganong and Fiore mark the 23rd consecutive season that a least one Bowdoin player has been honored as an NFHCA Division III All-American.
