    BRUNSWICK, Maine - On the heels of the school's first-ever NCAA Team Championship, Bowdoin College field hockey head coach Nicky Pearson has been awarded the highest coaching honor in Division III Field Hockey, earning Division III Coach of the Year recognition at the National Field Hockey Coaches Association banquet on Friday, January 4.

The top-ranked Polar Bears (19-0), who set a school record for single-season victories with the win, will play the winner of Middlebury and Salisbury in the Division III Championship game Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

The Polar Bears (17-0) remain the only unbeaten team in Division III and will host Rowan University, 2-0 winners over Cortland State on Saturday, in Sunday's Third-Round game at 1:00 p.m. Skidmore ends their season with a record of 14-6.

Led by the St. Mark's School graduate, Bowdoin claimed their third consecutive NESCAC Championship last weekend with victories over Williams and Middlebury.

The Polar Bears (8-0) are one of just four undefeated teams remaining in Division III and have yet to allow a goal this season, outscoring their opponents 28-0.

    BRUNSWICK, Maine - The two-time defending NESCAC Champion Bowdoin College field hockey team has been ranked third in STX/NFHCA Preseason Division III poll. The Polar Bears have qualified for the NCAA Final Four in each of the past two years and have the best record of any field hockey program in the nation since 2006, going 35-3 overall.
