2018 Recap (16-17): Bowdoin returned north with some momentum at the end of their spring trip, winning five of their last six games in Florida. The Polar Bears finished 7-5 in league play, including a 5-1 record against Bates and Colby, but lost a tiebreaker for one of the two East Division playoff spots to Trinity. Eric Mah and Joe Gentile were named as All-NESCAC selections.
2019 Preview: Bowdoin's four top hitters from a year ago return to the squad, including Mah (.358 BA, .429 OBP, 10 SB), Connor Lee (.325, 22 RBI), Jack Wilhoite (.318, 12 extra base hits, 22 RBI) and Brendan O'Neil (.320, 2 HR, 10 RBI). The Polar Bears will look to have some pitchers step into starting roles for the first time this season, but return Brandon Lopez (4-1, 3.74 ERA) Ben Osterholtz (4-2, 4.81 ERA) and Seamus Keenan (1-2, 2.70 ERA). The Polar Bears will open their campaign against Brandeis on Saturday in Northboro, Mass., before heading to California for a nine-game west coast swing. Bowdoin will return home for a three-game NESCAC East Division series against Trinity (Mar. 29-30). Other conference home games including a single game against Colby (April 5) and doubleheader against Bates (Apr. 20).
