LEWISTON, Maine - The Bowdoin College volleyball team saw its four-match winning streak come to an end in a 3-1 loss to Bates on Tuesday evening.

The win for the Bobcats (8-8) snaps a 14-match losing streak to the Polar Bears as they earn their first victory over Bowdoin (9-7) since the 2009 season. The contest was the non-conference meeting between the schools. Bowdoin claimed the NESCAC match last month by a 3-1 score in Brunswick.
