Volleyball Splits Saturday Doubleheader

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team split a pair of matches Saturday, collecting a key NESCAC win over Bates before falling to Johnson & Wales.

The Polar Bears stand at 5-2 (2-0 NESCAC) after the long day of action.

Bates Highlights

  • The Bobcats battled well, but Bowdoin earned the win by set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-17, 25-19.
  • Caroline Flaharty led the Polar Bear offense with a match-high 16 kills while also collecting 12 digs.
  • Michelle Albright notched seven kills and 23 digs for Bowdoin while Lisa Sheldon led the squad with 28 digs.
  • Kate Kiser had 41 assists in the victory.

Johnson & Wales Highlights

  • The Wildcats took the victory by set scores of 25-19, 25-10, 25-22.
  • Flaharty recorded ten kills while Danielle Abrams had seven kills for Bowdoin.
  • Kiser dished out 29 assists and Sheldon again led the squad with 24 digs.
