BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team is participating in the Side Out Foundation's Dig Pink campaign to fight breast cancer at a pair of NESCAC home matches this weekend.
The Polar Bears (14-4) will host Conn. College at 7 p.m. Friday evening (in a match originally scheduled for 8 p.m.) and Tufts at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
"Dig Pink" is the name of the Side-Out Foundation's national October breast cancer rally. All proceeds benefit the Side-Out Foundation, which in turn awards grants to medical research organizations and entities dedicated to providing patient services to breast cancer patients and their families. The cause is being promoted at all NESCAC volleyball matches this weekend.
Bowdoin has already reached its target goal for fundraising, but additional donations are being accepted here.
