Corey Leads All-Navy Volleyball to Gold, Coaches Armed Forces Team in International Play
BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College women’s volleyball head coach Karen Corey recently returned from coaching the USA Armed Forces Women’s Volleyball team in the 30th World Military Volleyball Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This followed a stint as head coach of the All-Navy squad that claimed the gold medal in the Armed Forces Championship.

Women's Volleyball Team Collects AVCA Academic Award
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College volleyball team has earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Academic Award for their efforts in the 2008-09 academic year. The Polar Bears are one of 77 Division III institutions to collect the honor, which they also received last season.

Women's Volleyball Releases 2009 Schedule
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball has announced their 2009 schedule. The Polar Bears, who lose no letterwinners to graduation, will look to improve on their second-straight 17 win season and become the first Polar Bear team in program history to collect four consecutive seasons of .500 or better.

Volleyball Team Conducts Youth League in Brunswick
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women’s volleyball team, in conjunction with the Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department, recently conducted a three week youth volleyball league. In its third year of existence, the program continues to grow by leaps and bounds. A total of 61 children participated this year and garnered top-notch instruction from Polar Bear student-athletes.

Women's Volleyball Team Nets Academic Team Award
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The New England Women’s Volleyball Association has announced recipients of the NEWVA Academic Team Award and Bowdoin College was one of 15 schools recognized by the organization for excellence in the classroom. The Polar Bears, who posted a 17-17 record on the court, exceeded the 3.3 GPA standard for the fall semester.

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Thirty-nine Bowdoin student-athletes have been awarded NESCAC All-Academic recognition in honors announced this week. To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached junior academic standing and be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35.
