BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's and women's track and field teams hosted a meet at Farley Field House on Saturday afternoon with both squads posting runner-up showings.
On the women's side MIT took first (283.50) followed by Bowdoin (152), Springfield (81) and WPI (55.50). The men's side saw MIT earn the crown (272.33) followed by Bowdoin (111.83), Springfield (104.83) and WPI (59).
The Polar Bears had a handful of winning performances Saturday
Emily Clark won the 200 meters in a time of 26.44, pushing her into the top-15 times this season in Division III. Lucy Skinner was victorious in the 3000 meters, posting a time of 10:21.07 while Liz Znamierowski, Cleo Daoud, Clark and Meghan Bellerose won the 4x400 meter relay in a time of 4:17.07. In the field events, Katherine Harmon also improved her NCAA standing with a win in the weight throw (15.40 meters) that ranks among the top-12 throws in Division III this year.
In the men's meet, Taylor Love won the 800 meter run (1:57.22) while Coby Horowitz pulled away in the mile for the victory in 4:11.93. Sam Seekins claimed the 3000 meters in 8:36.30, highlighting a 1-2-3 finish in the event for the Polar Bears.
Bowdoin will host another track meet at Farley Field House - for the third-consecutive week - at 1:00 p.m. next Saturday against Tufts, Coast Guard, Southern Maine and Colby.
