BOSTON, Mass. - The Bowdoin College indoor track team broke four school records at the Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University last weekend. Junior Elsa Millett broke a pair of school records, Michele Kaufman set a new school mark and the men's distance relay also set a new program standard. In addition, Millett, Kaufman and the men's DMR also all qualified provisionally for NCAA's.
GORHAM, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's indoor track and field team won the Maine State Championship for the third-straight season, defeating rivals Colby, Southern Maine and Bates on Friday evening. The Polar Bears won eight of the competition's 18 events to earn the victory.
BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's indoor track team defeated Colby while the men placed third at a home meet at Farley Field House on Saturday afternoon. The Polar Bear women outscored Colby 90-56 while Springfield claimed the men's meet with 194 points over Tufts (156), Bowdoin (126) and Colby (69).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Members of the Bowdoin College indoor track teams competed well at the Greater Boston Invitational on Sunday at Harvard University. Elsa Millett led the way with a first-place finish in the prestigious "Invitational" section of the women's 400 meters in a field that included several Division I squads and Club Teams.
LEWISTON, Maine - Bowdoin College junior Annie Huyler finished in second place overall and qualified provisionally for the NCAA Championship at the Bates Pentathlon on Friday evening. Huyler accumulated 3,036 points to surpass the NCAA provisional mark of 3,000.
