Men's Distance Medley Relay Finishes Fifth at NCAA Indoor Track

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Bowdoin College men's distance medley relay team finished fifth at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship while 400 meter runner Elsa Millett just missed out on qualifying for the finals in preliminary races held Friday evening at Capital (Ohio) University.

The DMR team of Coby Horowitz, Matthew Gamache, Colin Fong and Matthew Hillard posted a time of 10:03.46, 3.34 seconds off the winning pace set by Allegheny College. The squad had automatically qualified with a time of 9:57.39 at the ECAC Championship last weekend.

Meanwhile, Millett posted a time of 57.83 to win her heat of the 400 meter dash, but just missed out on qualifying for Saturday's final by .18 seconds. Millett had qualified for nationals with a time of 56.76.
