Track Teams Host 2010 Bowdoin Invitational

BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College men's and women's indoor
track teams hosted a competitive field at the 2010 Bowdoin
Invitational on Saturday at William Farley Field House. The MIT men
and women placed first in both meets, while the host Polar Bears
took runner-up in the women's field and third overall in the men's
competition.
The MIT women totaled 210.50 points to outdistance the
second-place Polar Bears (159), third place Tufts (112.50) and
Colby (90). Meanwhile the MIT men racked up an impressive 264
points to easily take the crown over Springfield (108), Bowdoin
(92), Tufts (74) and Colby (14).
Laura Peterson paced the Polar Bear women with a pair of
individual wins in the long jump (5.36 meters) and the triple jump
(10.94 meters). She also was a member of Bowdoin's winning 4x200
meter relay team along with Sarah Lord, Clare Henry and Morgan
Browning, who finished first in 1:51.27. Kyle Hebert was the lone
individual winner for the Bowdoin men after winning the 400 meter
dash in a time of 50.84. He also placed second in the 200 meters by
a mere 0.05 seconds (22.85).
