Trinka and Christ Lead Women's Tennis at ITA Regionals

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Bowdoin College women's tennis team had a strong showing at the ITA New England Regional Championship last weekend at Williams College.

Tournament Highlights

  • Tess Trinka was the top performer for the Polar Bears, advancing to the third round of the championship. She won a pair of singles matches in straight-sets before falling to third-seeded Juli Raventos of Williams.
  • Tasha Christ also won her first round match in a marathon, 7-6(3), 6-7(4), 7-6(2) over ninth-seeded Lauren Louks of Tufts before losing in three sets in the second round.
  • The pair teamed up to be Bowdoin's top doubles team as well, advancing to third round together after two wins, including a 9-8 (3) victory in the second round before falling to eventual champions Chong and Yu of Wesleyan
