BRUNSWICK, Maine - Three members of the Bowdoin College women's tennis team have earned All-American recognition in honors announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Senior Joulia Likhanskaia (Winter Park, Fla.) and junior Tess Trinka (Oak Park, Ill.) were named All-American in singles play while senior Samantha Stalder (Costa Mesa, Calif.) joined Likhanskaia as a doubles All-American. The trio helped the Polar Bears to a 16-6 overall record and NCAA Quarterfinal appearance last spring.

As the number one doubles pairing for Bowdoin this year, Likhanskaia and Stalder ended with a 18-10 record, ending as the 10th-ranked doubles team in Division III. Likhanskaia (16-7 in singles) was also named the ITA Northeast Senior Player of the Year and ended a phenomenal career with 74 career victories and a number 11 ranking in the final Division III singles poll. Trinka collected her first All-American nod after capping a fantastic campaign at 18-8, including a win in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to end the year ranked 35th in Division III.
