WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Bowdoin women's tennis team enjoyed a solid weekend of performances at the USTA/ITA New England Regional Championship hosted by Williams College this weekend.
Leading the way for Bowdoin was first-year Julia Likhanskaia, who advanced to the quarterfinals of the singles bracket as the seventh seed. Likhanskaia posted a trio of wins, including a come-from-behind 0-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 win in the third round, before falling to eventual champion Jordan Brewer of Amherst.
The Polar Bears did the rest of its damage in the consolation bracket, as Tiffany Cheng, Kate Winingham and Emma Lewis all recorded 2-0 marks in their respective singles consolation draws.
The Polar Bears will close out their fall campaign in three weeks when they host the Bowdoin Invitational October 18-20.
