Kellen Alberstone Named ITA All-American For Third Straight Season

Alberstone is Bowdoin's first three-time ITA singles All-American

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Bowdoin College women's tennis player Kellen Alberstone (Tarzana, Calif.) has been named a Division III All-American by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

A 2013 graduate of Bowdoin, Alberstone garnered the award following an announcement by the organization this week. It is the third consecutive year that Alberstone earned All-American honors in singles play and, combined with her doubles All-American award in 2011, becomes the first three-year All-American in Bowdoin women's tennis history.

A senior co-captain for the Polar Bears, Alberstone qualified for the NCAA Tournament after being ranked fourth in the Northeast Regional ITA Rankings. She finished an exceptional senior campaign by being named the Division III Senior Player of the Year by the ITA and a First Team All-NESCAC selection. Alberstone racked up 18 wins in tournament and dual-match play this season and finishes her career with 58 total wins.
