Bowdoin Women's Tennis Looks Strong Against D-I Competition at Penn

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Bowdoin College women's tennis team had a strong showing against Division I competition this weekend at the Cissie Leary Invitational hosted by the University of Pennsylvania.

As the only Division III team in the competition, the Polar Bears held their own, particularly in doubles play. Kellen Alberstone and Tiffany Cheng posted a 3-1 record. Chantalle Lavertu and Emma Chow combined to finish 3-2 against top-level competition.

The Polar Bears will compete at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association New England Regional next weekend at MIT. Competition begins on Friday and continues through Sunday.
