Women's Tennis Starts Fall Tournament Season at Williams
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Bowdoin women's tennis team opened its fall tournament slate with a strong showing at the Linda Morehouse Invitational at Williams last weekend.
Against a field that included players from Vassar, Middlebury, Skidmore and Williams, the Polar Bears played a round-robin divided into flights.
First-year Courtney Gallagher led the way for Bowdoin in singles action, posting three wins in four matches in the B-flight competition. Rookie Tiffany Cheng also picked up a pair of B-flight singles wins while Kellen Alberstone won two matches in the A-flight.
In doubles play, Bowdoin's A-flight combos of Chantalle Lavertu/Emma Chow and Kellen Alberstone/Tiffany Cheng each won two of their three matches.
