Women's Tennis Bounces Another Nationally-Ranked Opponent

ORANGE, Calif. - The Bowdoin College women's tennis team cruised to their fourth-straight win with an impressive 7-2 upset of 10th-ranked Chapman University on Sunday. The Polar Bears (4-1) are ranked 16th in the latest national poll and have bounced three nationally-ranked opponents in their last four victories.

The Polar Bear won two of the three singles matches before taking positions 2-6 on the singles later to clinch the win. Emily Lombardi won at #2 singles and, with Hannah Hoerner, claimed a win at #1 doubles. Brett Davis also accounted for two points, teaming with Kellen Alberstone at #2 doubles and picking up a singles point at #3.
