Women's Swimming Places Eighth at NESCAC Championship
COMPLETE RESULTS
MIDDLEBURY, Vt. - The Bowdoin College women's swimming and diving
team placed eighth at the NESCAC Championships hosted by Middlebury
College this weekend. Allen Garner led the way for the team by
qualifying for three championship finals and earning a trio of
relay placements.
Allen Garner placed fifth in the 50 yard backstroke (28.17) and
also took fifth in the 100 backstroke (59.62). She also placed
seventh individually in the 200 backstroke final (2:10.32). Jessie
Small also qualified for a championship final and took seventh in
the 50 breaststroke in a time of 31.33 while Katherine Foley was
eighth in the 1000 free (10:42.22)
Garner and Foley combined with Emily Shoemaker and Megan Sullivan
to place sixth in the 400 freestyle relay race (3:36.37) while
Garner, Caitlin Callahan, Shoemaker and Kaley Kokomoor took sixth
overall in the 200 medley race (1:50.50). The 400 medley relay team
of Garner, Callahan, Shoemaker and Sullivan combined to place
eighth (4:03.56).
