Women's Squash Defeats Mount Holyoke at Yale Round Robin

Michaela Martin won three matches at the Yale Round Robin last weekend

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Bowdoin College women's squash team picked up a victory over Mount Holyoke, but was tagged with four defeats at the Yale Round Robin last weekend.

The Polar Bears, who currently rank 20th in the College Squash Association rankings, defeated #22 Mount Holyoke (6-3), but fell to #13 Drexel (7-2), #11 George Washington (9-0), #18 Franklin Marshall (7-2) and #15 Hamilton (8-1) during a challenging weekend schedule. Bowdoin stands at 6-10 overall this season.

Michaela Martin was a bright spot for the Polar Bears over the weekend, garnering a trio of 3-0 wins against Hamilton, Mount Holyoke and Franklin & Marshall. Alden Drake, Sara Wlodarczyk and Emily Simonton also accounted for two wins each, with all three earning points in the win over Mount Holyoke.

Bowdoin will compete at the NESCAC Championship Tournament this weekend at Hamilton. The Polar Bears will learn the brackets and seeding on Tuesday.
