NEW LONDON, Conn. - Molly Popolizio scored the game-winning goal with 26:09 remaining to lift the Bowdoin women's soccer team to a 2-1 win at Connecticut College Saturday afternoon.

The Polar Bears improve to 9-2-1 (5-2-1 NESCAC) with the win and have six of their last seven outings. The Camels fall to 3-5-3 (1-4-2 NESCAC) with the loss.

Bowdoin took the lead in the opening half when Becky Stoneman played a through-ball to Kiersten Turner in the box. Turner setted the pass, shook her defender and deposited her ninth goal of the season to make it 1-0 at 12:59 of the opening frame.

The Camels evened the score in the second half when Morgan Cowie-Haskell chipped home a shot from six yards out at 61:20, but the tie was short-lived as the Polar Bears regained the lead 2L31 later.

Kaley Nelson crossed a ball from the right wing to Popolizio, who put home the feed on the back post to push the Polar Bears ahead for good.

Bridget McCarthy made three saves over the first 70 minutes for Bowdoin. Casey Krause was not tested over the final 20. Natalie Signor made four saves for the Camels.
